By taxi you can get to downtown Jakarta within 50 minutes according to traffic.

In Jakarta you can find several types of taxi according to their cost which have different colour schemes: Budget, regular, special taxis and executive and prepaid taxis too.

To identify budget taxis, the “Tarif Bawah” sticker should be placed in the vehicle.

Many tourists reported being victim of some kind of scam. To avoid troubles, our recommendation is to board a taxi of one of the reputable companies presented below.

Find taxi ranks outside the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 1, 2 and 3.

You can book your prepaid taxi in the kiosks located in the Arrivals Hall. By doing this, you’ll assure a fixed price for your trip instead of being overcharged.

From average, you can expect to pay from USD 12.00 to 14.00 (Blue Bird) which will be up to traffic conditions, since traffic jams are usual in Jakarta, especially during peak hours. Airport tax is IDR 4,000.

Before departing, we recommend you to agree fares with the driver. They can vary according to your final destination (you should consider that some roads will include tolls and other extra fees which you may be aware of).

For passengers that want private transportation from and to Jakarta Airport, they can book a transfer.
